All of the above documents (where applicable) must be legalised (all originals - no photocopies) with the Hague
Apostile Seal by the Legalisation Office, Norfolk House (West), 437 Silbury Boulevard, Milton Keynes,
MK9 2AH. (www.fco.gov.uk)

Once legalised, all documents must be translated by an approved translator. Please see below for kosweddings' fast, efficient and VERY economical translations service!!

If the documents have been translated in your home country, they must be sent to the Legislation Dept. of the Embassy
of Greece - 1A Holland Park, London W11 3TP.

Please note that if kosweddings handle your paperwork for you here in Kos, there is no requirement to have the Greek Embassy verify the translations, as they will have been carried out in Greece. This in reality saves up to 300GBP!!

Important Notice

TRANSLATIONS SERVICE

Kosweddings offer a translations service that is a fraction of the cost of having your documentation translated in the UK. Once your documents have been legalised with the Hague Apostille (needed to deem them valid for use in a foreign country) we can offer a translation service here in Kos for 30GBP per document. As the translations will be handled within Greece, this also eliminates the cost of having the translation verified at the Greek Embassy afterwards. There is a one-off administration fee of 30GBP for non-kosweddings clients.

This translations service is available to both clients of kosweddings, and anyone else wishing to cut out the very high cost of paperwork preparation imposed by other tour operators and organisations. All translations can be done via registered post, and we can either return them to yourselves again via registered post to the UK, or in person once you arrive on the island. Please contact us for further details of this service.

All legalised originals AND translated copies must be taken to Greece with you for processing.
The Greek Marriage Certificate that you will be presented with will need translating to English upon
return to the UK.

NB if you are from a country other than the UK, please seek the advice of your native embassy
